Floppy the police patrol dog was found dead in Mdantsane, in the Eastern Cape, on Monday afternoon around 1pm.
He had gunshot wounds.
Floppy was reported missing last week, following an armed robbery and subsequent police operation in NU16 Mdantsane.
Three armed suspects entered Nzuzo Primary School last week, at gunpoint, robbed the school of 20 laptops and 15 cellphones.
They also took the headmaster’s black Peugeot vehicle before fleeing the scene.
The police said the three got away and are still at large.
They are considered dangerous.
