The funeral of Nathi Mthethwa, South Africa’s Ambassador to France, who was found dead on September 30, 2025, at the Hyatt Regency Paris Étoile, will be broadcast live, on several social media networks, shared by the Government and Information System (GCIS).
President Cyril Ramaphosa, granted a Special Official Funeral Category 2, on Sunday, the 12th October 2025, meaning certain ceremonial elements will be performed by the South African Police Service.
The funeral service will start at 09h00 at the Siyabonga Sangweni Sport Complex in Kwa-Mbonambi, located at Dondotha, north of Richards Bay in the KwaZulu-Natal Province.
