Officials from the Nelson Mandela Bay Metro and the German Government have begun discussions about land.
The land discussed is funded by KFW, a German Government funding initiative.
The Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality’s International Relations Director, Lulamile Moolman, in partnership with Anke Reichert, a technical expert and project manager from the German Bank Development Kreditanstalt fuer Wiederaufbau (KFW), and Glenda Perumal, Chairperson of the MBDA board, and CEO of MBDA,Anele Qaba, all met on Wednesday this week.
Moolman said the visit focused on the Helenvale youth center, along with other areas aimed at enhancing safety, security, and infrastructure improvements across the Metro. He said this engagement marked the closing of projects undertaken over the past 17 years. He also expressed satisfaction, noting that there is a clear need and strong commitment from the German Government to continue investing in Nelson Mandela Bay.
Anke Reichert also expressed appreciation for the ongoing partnership with the Municipality.
