There have been two counts of vandalism and arson reported at schools in the North West province.
Tsotso Tlhapi, MEC of the Department of Community Safety and Transport management, confirmed the incidents on Tuesday.
Incidents occurred at Sewagodimo Technical and Motlhare Mokautu Secondary schools, at a critical time when Grade 12 learners are writing preparatory exams.
Tlhapi said perpetrators will face the full might of the law.
“It can’t be business as usual, when it appears that our province harbour criminal groups who obstruct the normal teaching and learning” she said.
She committed her department to dealing decisively with this matter and appealed to all community members to stand united against such destructive behavior and support efforts to protect the future of children.
