A structural fire at a guest house on Anderson Lane, Lambton, was contained, after burning for a few hours on Friday.
The guest house’s thatched-roof caught fire.
The City’s Disaster and Emergency Management Services (DEMS) said firefighters conducted a rapid assessment of the scene and worked tirelessly to bring the fire under control, limiting damage to the affected structure and protecting surrounding properties.
No casualties were reported and all guests were safely accounted for.
