Investec was named South Africa’s Bank of the Year for 2025, by  The Banker.

The Banker is an international platform for banks, with finance and business coverage analysis.

The Banker said in its blogs, The Bank of the Year award for South Africa, is one of the continent’s most coveted.
“For the second year in a row, the award goes to Investec, in recognition of its strong new products offering and the expansion of its footprint overseas.”

Investec impressed with its opening of a new office in the Dubai International Financial Centre. 

The investment bank also launched a multicurrency account for private banking clients, enabling them to hold, manage and transact across rand, dollars, pounds and euros. 

Investec also launched Clarity, which is a self-managed trading platform, which it piloted with private banking clients, back in 2024.
