The Letaba Fire Protection Association (FPA) reported at least three fires in the last two days.
As a result, the FPA warned that it is imperative that no fires burn during the Fire Prohibition period.
The fire prohibition period is in place to keep communities safe during the fire season, where runaway fires can cause extensive damage.
There was a fire at Duiwelskloof, opposite a chicken farm, on Saturday morning.
The Association said a report about the fire came at around 10:37am, via a WhatsApp group.
A Fire Brigade from Modjadjiskloof, was dispatched, within minutes.
The Tzaneen Emergency Support Team was also dispatched but unfortunately, teams could not access the property.
Teams concluded there was no threat to any agricultural activities or timber plantations and stood down just after 1pm on Saturday.
There was another fire at Tarantaaalrand Koppie, reported around 12:16 on the Letaba FPA Fires WhatsApp group.
The fire was between Deerpark and Tarantaalrand.
The Association said the Tzaneen Emergency Support Team met with the Letaba FPA Skid unit to count resources, including getting more water for firefighting.
The Letaba FPA then extended the call for more help from anyone around Letaba Estates and Tarantaalrand to assist with this fire.
The Mopani Fire Brigade joined the Tzaneen Emergency Support Team, to fight a fire that had moved into a mango orchard.
The Mopani District Municipality Fire Brigade was alerted, and soon the fire was contained, with a few hotspots smouldering.
That fire was contained by 14:59.
A third fire on Friday, was regarded as illegal, in the Tarantaalrand area near the airport, around 09:53 am.
But even though it was burning intensely, it was fully contained by around 10:40.
