The public and small stock farmers are urged to make the necessary arrangements, ahead of the arrival of cold fronts, from Thursday into Sunday.
The South African Weather Service (SAWS) said to expect very cold weather, of below 10 degrees, windy conditions, light snowfall on mountain peaks and rain.
Affected areas are the western and central interior of the Western Cape and the southern parts of Namakwa in the Northern Cape.
Temperatures are expected to drop across the country.
