The South African Weather Service (SAWS) has warned against disruptive rainfall in the northern parts of Mpumalanga as well as the south and eastern parts of Limpopo.
This as the town of Roedtan in Limpopo was flooded this week for the first time in 43 years, after heavy rains on New Year’s day.
The Maralong road between Tuinplaas and Roedtan weightbrige, was also flooded before Christmas Day.
SAWS has warned against severe thunderstorms with possible damaging winds, in the North West, northern parts of Free State, most of Gauteng and the south-western parts of Mpumalanga.
Extremely high fire danger conditions are expected over the northern parts of Western Cape, Northern Cape.
A Heat wave is expected to continue over the northern parts of the Eastern Cape, lasting until Saturday (04/01/2025).
