The Mqanduli Bridge, south of Mthatha, and nearby Buntingville Bridge, are completely flooded.
This follows heavy rains (at Level 2) forecast over the King Sabata Dalindyebo Local Municipality.
The OR Tambo Municipality said there may be other flooded roads, bridges and low-lying areas in the District.
Communities are encouraged to report flooded roads, bridges and other weather-related incidents.
About 99 homes in Bloemfontein, were affected by Monday’s strong winds.
According to the South African Red Cross Society (SARCS) in the Free State, one 77-year-old man was injured, as a result of winds, in Phelindaba.
SARCS said it is working closely with CoGTA to coordinate the response and determine the humanitarian assistance required.
