A shark attacked a 65-year old woman at Orient Beach, in East London, on Tuesday morning.
As a result, the Buffalo Municipality temporarily closed both the Orient Beach and a nearby one, the Eastern Beach.
The Municipality also advised beachgoers to remain vigilant, even at other beaches, and to comply with instructions issued by the relevant authorities.
