A crocodile was spotted in the Vaal river on Sunday, in the Marlbank area.
The Vaal River Rats South Africa (an organisation) said it alerted several animal and law enforcement agencies including SAPS and Waterwing.
“This message is to not scare people but to make them aware of the current situation. As advised by river leadership we caution people to stay out the water for now” said a concerned resident, who saw the croc.
Residents are urged to report sightings of the croc on the organisation’s social media groups.
