Power supply was restored to Arlington and Summerstrand major substations.
But parts of Walmer remain without electricity, due to a fault on the 11kV cable at the Checkers Mini on the 7th Avenue feeder.
Affected areas are the Checkers Mini, OK Bazaars, Cleaners, Prospect Road, Prospect Mini 3, Deyton Court and St Bernadette.
The Municipality said repair work is underway, although no estimated time for full restoration was provided.
