Most areas are now receiving water in Bhisho and Mount Coke, this is despite dwindling levels of water in reservoirs.
The Buffalo City Metro said there is little pumping to the Damspot reservoir which is normally rotated between Berlin/Ilitha, WSU Potsdam, Msintsini and Nkqonqweni system.
The City said although Mdantsane is receiving some water, there may still be challenges in high lying areas from zones 12 – 17, as well as
villages in Ward 32, 33, 35, 37, 40 and 44.
Other affected areas are Nedscamp/Ncera
villages up to Kaysers Beach.
Water supply restoration is expected in between one and three days.
Amatola Water Board and the Municipality has availed 36 water tankers.
