Some residents of Hamaanskraal took to social media to celebrate water in taps.
Popular social media butterfly, Regina Mokgara, thanked Councillors for water, which started trickling out of taps on Thursday.
5 days ago, another resident of Hamaanskraal, Pollet Kgatle, called for anyone wanting water to fill up at his place for free.
Local Councillor, Gunga, gave a status update that water supply is now underway.
The City of Tshwane formally announced a significant improvement in water quality at the Rooiwal Water Treatment Works since Wednesday this week.
In a statement, the City said, the distribution process has started, and one of the reservoirs, which supplies water to the network, has begun to supply consumers.
The City also said pumping is at 36%, which still requires residents to use water wisely.
“Our technicians will continue to monitor raw water in Leeukraal Dam, which has shown remarkable improvement.”
