Meteorologists say satellite images show a severe winter storm or mid-latitude cyclone’s pressure is heading to the south of East London on Sunday.
These conditions bring along strong winds and rough sea on the south and south-east coast on Sunday and Monday.
Dr Angelo Hoorn of the Severe Weather Association (SWAICSA), said it is expected to be very cold, with widespread frost, over the interior on Monday morning.
As a result, the South African Weather Service (SAWS) has warned against damaging waves in harbours and ports, between Lamberts Bay and Port Edward.
