A Special Tribunal granted the Special Investigating Unit (SIU) an order to stop the sale of two multimillion-rand properties linked to Tshepo Lucky Montana.
Montana was formerly the Group Chief Executive Officer (GCEO), of the Passenger Rail Agency of South Africa (PRASA).
The order prohibits Montana from selling, transferring, leasing or otherwise dealing with the properties pending the final determination of SIU’s civil proceedings.
The SIU said preserved assets include a Hurlingham property purchased at R13.5 million; and one at Waterkloof (R2.25 million).
An investigation found both properties were allegedly bought with money from PRASA’s R5.6 billion Integrated Security Access Management System (ISAMS) contract, which was awarded to Siyangena Technologies (Pty) Ltd, a subsidiary of TMM Holdings.
The company won a bid to install, supply, and maintain ISAMS at various train stations, prior to the 2010 FIFA World Cup.
