Three surviving African White-backed Vultures remain under specialist veterinary care.

Vulpro, a vulture conservation organisation, said about ten critically endangered White-backed Vultures, were found poisoned last week, near Lephalale.

Three were recovered from the same incident in a critical condition.

Vulpro said in a statement the birds are now showing positive clinical progress following treatment and ongoing monitoring, and remain under close observation.

“Each survival represents a critical contribution to a species under significant pressure from ongoing poisoning events across its range.”
