A goods train carrying military vehicles is stuck on the R36 between Morebeng and Mooketsi.
As a result, the Limpopo Department of Transport advised motorists to use alternative roads.
The Department said preliminary reports indicate that the train’s axle may have burst, causing the obstruction.
Soldiers and law enforcement are at the scene, managing traffic.
