The much-awaited Service Level Agreement between Vaal Central Water and Nala Local Municipality, was signed on Tuesday last week, by Luvuyo Ntoyi- the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Sekonyela Lehloenya -the Municipal Manager.
The Service Level Agreement is expected to regulate the relationship between the two parties in the provision of water to the Nala Local Municipality.
Ntoyi said working together, is important, to ensure that there is sustainable water provision for the community of Nala.
The agreement also elaborates on the Debt Relief Programme- a National Treasury and the Department of Water and Sanitation programme aimed at rescuscitating municipalities in addressing their growing water-related debt.
Revenue enhancement is also included in the agreement.
Both parties committed to tackle water challenges.
