Planned maintenance kicks off in parts of Cape Town, including the Voëlvlei Water Treatment Plant, which will be shut down from 08:00 am on Monday, 15 September 2025 until 16:00 on Saturday, 20 September 2025.
The City of Cape Town’s Water and Sanitation Directorate, said it would fill reservoirs ahead of today, but urged residents to also make alternative plans, in the Drakenstein Municipality and private users, in Durbanville, Philadelphia, Fisantekraal and Klipheuwel.
The Faure Water Treatment Plant, which supplies the Cape Town Film Studio, Amazon and Dream World along Baden Powell Drive, will also be temporarily shut off, on Monday, the 15th September, from 8 am until midnight.
Maintenance continues into Tuesday, to affect Eureka Estate, Elsies River and Wynberg East, from 09:00 until 18:00.
