Flash floods have claimed 129 lives, since July the 4th.

Water levels along the Guadalupe River, rose sharply, flooding Texas Hill Country, in America, while water is a foot away from overtaking the bridge near Lampasas.

Governor Abbott said in a statement,  the state of emergency was activated, on Friday, the 11th July, to unlock resources ahead of severe weather over the weekend.

“I urge Texans to remain weather-aware and heed the guidance of state and local officials to ensure the safety of themselves and their loved ones.” 

Because more rain is expected, authorities, have ordered all personnel and volunteers operating near the river to exit the water and move to higher ground.

The warning is for parts of Central Texas, including Hunt, Junction, Kerrville, Ingram, Hunt, Comfort, and surrounding areas.

The Guadalupe River at Hunt is expected to rise to 14.6 feet.

There are floods in several areas including Chicago, North Carolina and New Mexico.

Other countries experiencing flash floods are Brazil, Germany, Japan,Belgium,, Spain and Afghanistan.
