Aggrieved residents who wanted to bury own relatives who died from the Ebola virus, set the facility on fire on Friday.
The facility established by Doctors Without Borders and other partners, is located at Rwampara, in the Ituri province of the eastern Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC).
Practitioners refused rights to the corpses, fearing the risk of high contamination.
Patrick Muyaya, Spokesperson of the DRC department of health condemned the attack and said there is a lack of community awareness about the outbreak.
Some 139 people died as a result of this active virus, while an estimated 600, were infected.
Due to the outbreak, the United States issued an advisory, to screen citizens who have been in affected countries in the past 21 days.
They are required to travel to the Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD), as from Thursday, this week.
