Parts of Australia are flooded following Monday evening’s high tides.

Affected areas with flooded car parks and roads are Sandy Bay, Lauderdale, South Arm Neck, Geilston Bay, Margate, Dodges Ferry, Lewisham, Eaglehawk Neck and Snug.

The Bureau of Meteorology said tides were even higher than Sunday evening, with sea levels reaching above 2m at Battery Point Jetty south of Hobart, and at Spring Bay.

Stronger fronts were expected to move away from Tasmania on Tuesday.

Bangladesh

Heavy monsoon rains, floods and landslides have affected more than one million people over the past week, including refugees in Cox’s Bazar.

The United Nations and partners are providing clean water, food, shelter, health services and other vital support to the affected families.

The Bangladesh Red Crescent Society (BDRCS) is also working with the IFRC and partners, to mobilise volunteers to provide search and rescue, first aid, emergency food, evacuation support, and early warning to help communities affected by this growing emergency.

At least fifty (50) people are missing and 54 killed in Southern Bangladesh.

China

Some 1,800 villagers were displaced by floods in China as Typhoon Bavi hit Hebei and Liaoning.

In addition to washing away infrastructure and cars, a motorized pontoon bridge was used to rescue 6,000 students after severe flooding, in Guangxi.

Shenyang authorities issued flood-related warnings for heavy rainfall on July 13, 2026 and July 14, 2026. 

But Typhoon Bavi is currently weakening.

Texas

A car was swept away by floodwaters in Uvalde County west of Sabinal.

Texas Game Wardens are responding to multiple calls in South Texas, following floods in 59 Counties. 

The United Cajun Navy is also responding to flooding in the Del Rio area, and teams are on standby across Texas.

Authorities have urged residents to stay informed by monitoring local forecasts, to follow instructions from local officials and to neber drive through flooded roadways.

The National Weather Service’s Storm Prediction Center warned against Level 4 rains at Boerne on Tuesday evening into Wednesday.

The Boerne City Lake is already at 101% full as a result of recent rains.
