Amatola Water Board announced the employment of 3 new Executives this week.
Jonathan Jackson, is now the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of Amatola Water Board. Dorothy Mabuza, is the new Executive Manager for Planning and Development while Lindokuhle Nzoyi, is the new Executive Manager for Corporate Services.

Pam Yako, Chairperson of the Board, said in a statement that she is confident that the new executives, would significantly complement current organizational efforts to provide bulk water in the Eastern Cape.

Yako said “we are open for business and stand ready to work with Water Services Authorities in the Eastern Cape, to deliver reliable and sustainable water services.”

The Water Board is faced by multiple challenges, such as ending Makhanda’s water crisis, ongoing cable theft in Buffalo City.
Last year, prior to Environment Day, on the 04th June 2023, the High Court revoked Senzo Mchunu’s (Minister of Water and Sanitation) decision, to fire  5 members of the Board. 

A new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) was appointed in December last year, Siyabulela Koyo.
