Ten of the nineteen countries with restricted entry into the United States of America, are from the African continent.

The list of countries with full suspension of entry, was announced by Donald Trump, President of the United States of America, on Wednesday, the 04th of June 2025.

The suspension of entry, will affect the visa-issuance process into the United States.

Trump said “As President, I must act to protect the national security and national interest of the United States and its people.  I remain committed to engaging with those countries willing to cooperate to improve information-sharing and identity-management procedures, and to address both terrorism-related and public-safety risks.”

He claims nationals of some countries pose risks to the United States and American people.
