Another building was on fire in the inner City of Johannesburg- corner Pritchard Street and Von Wielligh.
No casualties were reported as a result.
The City of Joburg said its emergency services (EMS) firefighters responded to the fire on Tuesday evening, 8 April 2025.
The fire occurred on the second floor of a three-story building.
The City said although the fire was fully extinguished, Inspection teams are reportedly still on-site, to assess the structural damage to the building, as well as any additional destruction the fire may have caused.
The City also announced Clement Masinge, as its Acting Chief of Johannesburg Emergency Management Services.
N.F. Keetse, was appointed as Station Commander at Kibler Park Fire Station, and N.A. Malakalaka, who will now lead the Berea Fire Station.
