Dr SD Gumbi (66), Bishop of the GNF Ministries and world famous televangelist, has died.
The church announced his death in the early hours of Tuesday morning.
“Our hearts are heavy with grief, as the GNF Ministry family, mourns this tremendous loss. May his legacy live on and may God comfort us during this difficult time.”
Sihle Thwala shared his tribute via social media “I didn’t think I will write this in the year 2025. Honestly, I didn’t see it coming. I think I believed in the words I spoke to him on the 15th of July 2023, I said “baba I pray that the Lord keeps you until you see the glorious and greatest move of God you have been announcing all your life”. Maybe I was naïve to think that mine and many other’s wish can avert the Lords plan.”
He was born in Mpumalanga, and founded the Assemblies of God (A.O.G) Ministries.
Dr. Gumbi was also a songwriter and composer.
