A cold front is sneaking through from the West of the country.
This Cut off Low system, is expected to bring strong gale force winds of an estimated 70 – 80 kilometers per hour, with waves of up to 4 meters high.
The South African Weather Service (SAWS) the combination of winds and waves is expected between Table Bay and Cape Agulhas, from Monday afternoon.
SAWS said these conditions may make it difficult for small vessels and kayaks to navigate at sea.
A surface trough coupled with upper air perturbation is expected to bring along thunderstorms over parts of the Eastern Cape’s Districts (Sarah Baartman, Christ Hani, Amathole, Walter Sisulu, Senqu and Buffalo City).
This might lead to localized damage to settlements, property and might lead to difficulty in driving.
