It is about to get colder, as conditions driven by a cut -off low pressure system, settle in the central and eastern parts of the country.
The South African Weather (SAWS) said there will be light snowfall in the northern high-lying areas until Friday.
SAWS also said there will be severe thunderstorms, in parts of Limpopo, most of the Mpumalanga Highveld, as well as central and northern Gauteng.
This could lead to localized flooding.
