Over 45,000 people are expected to visit Durban’s most popular horseracing event in July.
Themed ‘Marvels of Mzansi’, the event will be held on 5 July, at the Hollywoodbets Greyville Racecourse.
Gugu Sisilana, Spokesperson of eThekwini, said initial income projections point to a R278.6 million boost in direct spend and R689.4 million GDP contribution.
In addition, some 4,403 jobs will be created by the event.
