Hot weather, which began on Friday, continues in most parts of the country.
According to an advisory from the South African Weather Service (SAWS), a heat wave is expected to continue in Limpopo and Mpumalanga on Sunday, the 15th September 2024.
Extremely humid weather conditions are expected in the Lowveld, Limpopo Valley and the Western Bushveld of Limpopo.
As a result, the Free State Umbrella Fire Protection Association (FSUFPA), cautioned against extremely high fire danger conditions, expected over the eastern and northern parts of the Northern Cape, the Free State, North West, the western and northern parts of Limpopo, the south-western parts of Gauteng, the northern Lowveld of Mpumalanga, the extreme northern interior of the Eastern Cape and the north-western parts of KwaZulu-Natal.
