Authorities in Limpopo will be handing over three water schemes, this weekend.
They are hoping to take three days from 4–6 September 2026, to complete the programme.
Pemmy Majodina, Minister of Water and Sanitation, David Mahlobo, Deputy Minister and Dr Phophi Ramathuba, Limpopo Premier, kicked off the programme, at the Seshego Water Treatment Works, on Friday.
The R200 million investment, is expected to strengthen water supply in Polokwane and surrounding communities.
The Jakkalskei Water Supply Scheme, is also part of the programme. It is expected to improve reliable water supply for more than 42,000 households in Mokopane.
About R23 million was invested into the Maokeng and Dilaeneng Water Schemes, to benefit more than 800 homes in Senwabarwana.
