Hiking trails around Camps Bay were temporarily closed last night, as firefighters battled against a fire on Monday evening, near the Pipe Track.
The fire’s right flank was threatening the urban edge of the area.
Ground crews were deployed overnight to stabilize and contain the fire line.
Hiking trails affected are the Footpaths and Jeep Tracks to Camps Bay, Pipe Track, Theresa Avenue and Geneva Avenue and all footpaths accessing Camps Bay from Back Table and Apostle Battery, as well as Trails above the Twelve Apostles.
