Mop up operations have begun in Mosselbay following a huge fire which affected ๐๐ฎ๐น๐๐๐ป๐ฑ๐ฎ๐น, ๐๐๐น๐ฎ๐ป๐ฑ ๐ฉ๐ถ๐ฒ๐ and ๐ฉ๐ฎ๐ธ๐ฎ๐ป๐๐ถ๐ฒ๐ฝ๐น๐ฎ๐ฎ๐.
The fire started on the 5 January 2026.
The Municipality said a fire stop was called, in the early hours of Thursday morning, because the fire is controlled but not fully contained as yet.
No team is expected to stand down and the Incident Command remains active.
Members of the public are requested to pause further dropโoffs at the Schoeman Street Fire Station, in Mosselbay.
The Mosselbay Municipality is expected to announce a structured channel for donations today as well as share preliminary findings of the extent of damage caused by the fire.
