Jan Fourie is the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Mulilo Energy, replacing Johnny Cullum.

In a statement, Mulilo Energy, said Fourie’s appointment aims to accelerate its efforts in advancing renewable energy projects and contributing to local economic development and job creation.

Jan Oberholzer, who is the Chairman of Mulilo Energy said about Fourie’s appointment, “we are thrilled to welcome Jan to Mulilo. We are confident that his expertise and leadership will be invaluable as we work towards our mission of providing clean, reliable energy solutions to communities across South Africa.”

Fourie will oversee all aspects of Mulilo’s operations, including project development, strategic partnerships, and stakeholder engagement to ensure that Mulilo continues to succeed in the country’s REIPPP program and private offtake market with more than 420MW of operational solar PV and onshore wind projects.

A further 1,263 MW of solar PV, onshore wind, and battery energy storage system projects are currently under financial close, and over 30GW of projects are in the development pipeline.

Fourie holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Cape Town’s Graduate School of Business, and a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering from the University of Stellenbosch.
