A wild fire on the N2, near a wind farm, in the Nelson Mandela Bay, is burning aggressively due to strong winds.
As a result, the Fire and Emergency Department closed the N2 temporarily.
Members of the public are urged to avoid the area.
The City mobilised the local Fire Protection Association to assist.
There are currently 10 vehicles and teams to combat the fire.
The City also said priority number 1 is to contain the blaze, protect nearby communities, and prevent its further spread.
