Youth Day 2025: Career Expo at the Apartheid Museum
The Apartheid Museum will host a Career Expo, hoping to link professionals across many different industries with young people.
Moving stories will be shared by special guests: Ma Antoinette Sithole, sister of Hector Pieterson, Professor Tshepo Moloi, Head of History, UJ and writer Esinako Ndabeni.
This event targets Grade 10–12 learners and university students. Entry is free to the event, from 10:00am–14:00
Youth Day event -Ga-Rankuwa and Soshanguve
Peer educators from Pretoria-based campuses – Ga-Rankuwa and Soshanguve, Tshwane University of Technology TUT – will join a commemoration hosted by the Department of Higher Health, alongside the Department of Higher Education and Training.
Dr Nobuhle Nkabane, Minister of Higher Education, and Steve Letsike- Deputy Minister of Women, Youth, and Persons with Disabilities and Professor Ramneek Ahluwalia, CEO of Higher Health, are expected to speak at the event.
It’s theme is “Education, Skills Development, and Economic Participation: Building a Future for South Africa’s Youth.”

Paul Mashatipe, Deputy President, is scheduled to lead the 49th commemoration at the Rec Farm Stadium, in the North West.
This year’s theme is “Skills for the Changing World.”
