Water is expected to gradually fill up the Zondi Reservoir, Tower and Dobsonville’s direct feed, on Wednesday overnight, following repairs.
Johannesburg Water (JW) said specialised materials were delivered on Tuesday evening, allowing technicians to continue with working on AC-to steel pipe couplings.
Water is expected to start filling up in reservoirs only on Wednesday evening into Thursday morning.
JW also said there is low pressure at Bromhof, Randpark Rif and Randpark Ridge.
This too was caused by a leak on the bulk supply main, on Eastwood Road.
Repair work there, is expected to start on Wednesday morning.
Another burst pipe has led to the isolation of water supply at corner Anvil and Robert, in Robertville.
JW could not confirm the restoration time.
