Strong winds of up to 113 kilometers an hour (km/h) are expected in parts of the South African coastline, as a frontal depression rips through, this afternoon.
The South African Weather Service (SAWS) has issued several warnings, including a Yellow level 2 Warning, against disruptive rain over the south-western parts of the Western Cape.
Rain could lead to localised flooding of roads and settlements.
Damaging winds and waves are also expected between Alexander Bay and Plettenberg Bay.
There’s also a warning against similar conditions in the southern parts of Northern Cape and most of the western parts of the Eastern Cape.
The Swartland Municipality announced the temporary closure of roads flooded as a result of a burst dam yesterday morning.
These include the old Kalbaskraal road in the direction of Abbotsdale.
The Low water bridge in Kalbaskraal, coming from the N7, is also closed.
The low water bridge in Dalsig, Malmesbury is also closed.
