There are impact based warnings issued against damaging winds between Margate and Richards Bay.
The South African Weather Service (SAWS) said winds could lead to the build-up of sand on coastal routes and also disrupt small harbours and the port in that area for a short period.
SAWS also said dinghies and small vessels, are at risk of taking on water and capsizing.
Another area cautioned against strong winds is the central part of the Northern Cape. There is concern that such winds could enable the spreading of fires.
Extremely high fire danger conditions are expected over the central and north-central parts of the Northern Cape as well as the Beaufort West Municipality in the Western Cape.
