The weather service (SAWS) issued several warnings for Saturday.
The SAWS warned against disruptive rainfall (at Yellow Level 4) over the City of Cape Town and the Cape Winelands District Municipalities in the Western Cape.
Dense fog (at Yellow Level 2 ), is expected over the Highveld and in places over the escarpment in Mpumalanga.
Damaging Wind and Waves (Yellow Level 2) is expected over the Cape Columbine and Cape Agulhas in the Western Cape until Monday.
Damaging Interior Winds (Yellow Level 2) is expected in the Western Cape over the southern parts of Namakwa District Municipality in the Northern Cape.
