2 people have died in a fire that engulfed the Sukamuva Informal Settlement, on Friday evening.
EThekwini Municipality’s Fire and Emergency Services, said the fire broke out at approximately 11pm, in Ward 71, Crossmore, South of Durban.
About 15 informal structures were destroyed, displacing 22 families, including young children.
The cause of the fire is still unknown and is under investigation.
