The National Energy Regulator of South Africa (NERSA) announced new board members thus week.
Cabinet approved the appointment of the Ria Govender, as a Part-Time Regulator Member for a period of four years.
Willibrod Majola and Nomfundo Maseti were appointed as Full-Time Regulator Members for a period of five years each.
Thembani Bukula, Chairperson of Board, congratulated the new Regulator Members on their appointment.
“Their extensive experience in energy regulation will support NERSA’s mandate to ensure the sustainable development of the energy sector by balancing the economic interests of all stakeholders, thereby contributing to the socio-economic development of South Africa” said Bukula
