Rainfall monitoring stations in and around Mossel Bay recorded rainfall of 67.2 mm at the AWS, from Tuesday to Wednesday only.
About 123.8 mm was recorded at the Mosselbaai Kwepertuin ARS and 152.8 mm, at the Robinson Pass ARS.
Of the total amount, 94.6 mm, fell on one day at the Pass.
Similarly rain recorded at various points in Knysna, exceed 50mm.
Rheenendal recorded 95mm, Karatara (90mm), Knysna (85mm), Sedgefield (80mm) and Buffalo Bay (50mm).
The Municipality said teams continue to monitor all critical water and sanitation infrastructure, which was strained by rains.
The Bigai Reservoir was currently critically low, due to floods, resulted in reduced water pressure and low flow in Hornlee.
Natures Valley recorded an estimated 150 to 200 mm over the duration of the storm.
Some 31 roads remain closed across the Garden Route District.
The Kouga Municipality also announced the temporary closure of about ten roads, including the R102 (Mondplaas to Thornhill), the Gravel road next to Gamtoos River, which was washed away, St Francis Bay to Oyster Bay Road, Humansdorp to Oyster Bay Road, Lombardini Road, Weston Bridge, Milton Bridge, R102 (Ferry to Loerie/Melon), Moerasriver Bridge and Longmore.
