At least two reservoirs in the Nelson Mandela Bay Metro, have no water.

The Gelvandale Reservoir, which supplies Lower Gelvandale, Helenvale, Missionvale, Algoa Park, Zwide, Soweto-on-Sea, Veeplaas, and KwaZakhele, is at 0%.

Lovemore Heights Reservoir, is also empty, at 0%.

It supplies water to Lovemore Heights, Heather bank, Broadwood, Salisbury Park, Providential Pari and Park Miramar, are at 0%

The City also said several other reservoirs are low, including Airport Reservoir (2%), Emerald Reservoir (3%), Kwanobuhle Reservoir 2 (6%), Chelsea Reservoir (8%) and Greenbushes Reservoir (10%). 

Affected areas are Baywest, Rowallan Park, Sherwood, Parts of Lorraine, Hunters Retreat, Kabega Park, Morningside, Malabar, Barcelona, Parsonsvlei, Parsons Ridge and parts of Schauderville. 

Those supplied by the Emerald Reservoir Zone (higher-lying areas) are Walmer Heights, Greenshields Park, Walmer (7th Avenue to 14th Avenue), Walmer Location, Newton Park and high-lying areas of Central. 

The Greenbushes Reservoir Zone supplies Rowallan Park, Bridgemead and Greenbushes.

The Municipality said its teams continue to monitor the system and to restore reservoir levels.
