Five suspects were arrested for pangolin smuggling in Malmesbury, on Friday.
They are between the ages of 28 and 53.
Police said they received a tip-off about a planned pangolin sale at a petrol station on the N7 in Malmesbury.
They followed up on the information and waited at the meeting point until they spotted a maroon car.
Suspects arrived and parked at the back of the petrol station.
Police arrested them and found a white drum containing a female pangolin.
Suspects are expected to appear at the Malmesbury Magistrate’s Court on Monday.
