Sunday’s severe thunderstorms have damaged power supply infrastructure in parts of Tshwane.

The City’s technicians are attending to areas with interrupted supply across the City, as a result of a trip of the 132kV Line, the K1, K2 and Soshanguve sub affected.

Alderman Maluleke, the City’s Human Settlement MMC, said the storm uprooted trees and tree branches have fallen on the road and on overhead power lines.

Maluleke will also be visiting Soshanguve, where the storm blew rooftops of several homes.

“Our administration is committed to supporting those affected. We are coordinating efforts to restore services and provide relief to residents” he said.

Leon Kruyshaar, Councillor of the affected part of Soshanguve, took to tik tok to console affected families.
