The body of a 27-year old man, missing since New Year’s Day, was recovered on Thursday.
He was found along the Mlondozi and Nkomazi River systems.
The Chief Albert Luthuli Municipality said the family of the man, was notified and the necessary process of identification concluded.
A multi-agency team, including local authorities, volunteer groups, and the Mpumalanga EMS Airwing, have searched for 7 days, using drone technology and a helicopter.
The Municipality has urged the community and media to respect the family’s need for privacy as they mourn.
