Mondi, a global leader in sustainable packaging and paper, was scored an ‘A’ for both climate change and forests in CDP’s 2024 disclosures.
CDP also awarded Mondi an ‘A-’ score in the third category of water.
Mondi said in a statement, these scores earn the Forestry giant, a place on CDP’s annual A List for the sixth year running.
Gladys Naylor, Head of Sustainable Development at Mondi Group, said “we are delighted to have maintained our position on CDP’s A List. Our top scores for transparency on climate change and forests reflect our commitment to taking action on climate and our understanding of the link between climate action, sustainable forestry and water security in driving progress that reduces our impact. We are working to reduce our GHG emissions in line with our science-based Net-Zero targets, upholding our zero deforestation commitment across our supply chain, and prioritising water and biodiversity as key focus areas of our sustainability efforts.”
CDP is an internationally recognised, independent sustainability benchmarking platform for environmental disclosures, supporting companies, cities, states and regions to measure and manage their risks and opportunities on climate change, water security and deforestation.
Fully TCFD aligned, CDP holds the largest environmental database in the world and CDP scores are widely used in consideration of investment and procurement decisions towards a zero carbon, sustainable and resilient economy. Over 700 capital markets signatories, representing more than US$142 trillion in assets, requested companies to disclose on climate change, forests and water security via CDP.
